Next release This sector's pack (words, templates and standard indicators) is built for the next release. Today's live product uses the general words in each sector; the modules below carry their own labels.
Humanitarian response: words, templates and indicators
Free in every plan. Next release Built and tested on the release branch, not in the live product yet. It reaches the live product with the next release.
The sector's words
The product says these instead of the general words, everywhere in the workspace.
| General word | In humanitarian response |
|---|---|
| Beneficiary | Affected person |
| Daily log | Situation report |
| Recurring operation | Distribution round |
| Indicator | Response indicator |
Standard indicators, with their codes
| Code | Indicator | Standard |
|---|---|---|
SPH WS2.1-VOL | Average volume of water used for drinking, cooking and personal hygiene in any household | Sphere minimum standards (water supply subset) |
Definitions are copied from each published standard and pinned to its version; each one names its source in the product. A template adds an indicator with no baseline and no target.
Starter templates
A template brings tasks, milestones, risks and indicators with no figures in them: no amount, no baseline, no target.
Relief distribution
Distributions planned and held by site, with sites not reached kept as records.
4 tasks · 2 milestones · 2 risks · form: Distribution record
- Distributions held as planned distributions
SPH WS2.1-VOLAverage volume of water used for drinking, cooking and personal hygiene in any household litres per person per day
Emergency shelter
Shelter kits delivered and put up, each site check recorded.
4 tasks · 2 milestones · 2 risks · form: Site visit
- Shelters put up and checked shelters
Cash assistance
Households registered and paid through a provider, each payment as the provider reported it.
5 tasks · 2 milestones · 2 risks
- Households paid in the round households
Site types
The places a project works at, each with its own fields. The same five types for each sector; a road section is measured by chainage.

The modules that matter most in humanitarian response
Our suggestion, not a limit: any module can be used in any sector. Each label says what runs in the live product today. Labels checked on 14 October 2026 against the live product (the build of 8 October 2026) and the release branch.

A response team distributes water after a flood
After a fictional flood in Southmere, an NGO trucks water to four camps and reports litres per person per day against the minimum standard.

Next release Sector pack
The pack's Relief distribution template brings the Sphere indicator WS2.1-VOL, with each Distribution round and Situation report as their own records.
-
Partly live Procurement & Contracts

Partly live Results & M&E
Litres per person per day are reported per camp; a camp not yet reported shows a dash, never zero. Indicators and their reported values run today; a missing value shows as a dash. Targets are built for the next release.
| Camp | Standard | Reported |
|---|---|---|
| Camp 1 | 15 l | 16 l |
| Camp 2 | 15 l | 11 l |
| Camp 3 | 15 l | — |
Fictional organisation, places and figures. Each step carries the label of the module it uses. A step labelled Next release, In development or Planned describes the design, not today's product; a step labelled Partly live uses only the part that runs today.
