Next release This sector's pack (words, templates and standard indicators) is built for the next release. Today's live product uses the general words in each sector; the modules below carry their own labels.
Energy: words, templates and indicators
Free in every plan. Next release Built and tested on the release branch, not in the live product yet. It reaches the live product with the next release.
The sector's words
The product says these instead of the general words, everywhere in the workspace.
| General word | In energy |
|---|---|
| Beneficiary | Connected customer |
| Recurring operation | Planned maintenance |
| Daily log | Site log |
Standard indicators, with their codes
| Code | Indicator | Standard |
|---|---|---|
SDG 7.1.1 | Proportion of population with access to electricity | SDG global indicator framework |
Definitions are copied from each published standard and pinned to its version; each one names its source in the product. A template adds an indicator with no baseline and no target.
Starter templates
A template brings tasks, milestones, risks and indicators with no figures in them: no amount, no baseline, no target.
Grid extension and connections
Lines built and households connected, each connection recorded once energised.
4 tasks · 2 milestones · 2 risks · form: Connection record
- Households connected and energised households
SDG 7.1.1Proportion of population with access to electricity percent of population
Substation construction
A substation built, tested and commissioned, each test recorded.
4 tasks · 2 milestones · 2 risks · form: Site visit
- Commissioning tests passed tests
Mini-grid
A village mini-grid built and run, with each outage kept as a record.
4 tasks · 2 milestones · 2 risks
- Customers connected customers
Site types
The places a project works at, each with its own fields. The same five types for each sector; a road section is measured by chainage.

The modules that matter most in energy
Our suggestion, not a limit: any module can be used in any sector. Each label says what runs in the live product today. Labels checked on 14 October 2026 against the live product (the build of 8 October 2026) and the release branch.
Partly live
Procurement & Contracts
Procurement plans, tenders to award, contracts, purchase orders and the vendor register.
Procurement plan lines and the contract screen run today. Bids, evaluation and award have no screen yet, and vendors, tenders and purchase orders are not in the live product yet.
List price $50 a month
Partly live
Cost tables & Economic analysis
Cost tables, the financing plan, FIRR, EIRR, NPV and sensitivity, and appraisal documents.
Cost tables run today, and appraisal where its checking engine is installed. Economic and financial analysis is built for the next release.
List price $40 a month
In development
Works & Measurement
Bills of quantities, the measurement book, interim payment certificates, retention and variations.

Partly live
Results & M&E
Indicators, targets, values with a second-person check, and data quality rules.
Indicators and their reported values run today; a missing value shows as a dash. Targets are built for the next release.

Safeguards & Grievance
Environmental and social commitments, incidents and grievance redress.

Included in every plan: Core Partly live Projects, activities, approval steps, risks, the audit log and the Project Book run today. Organisation structure, meetings, blockers, stage gates, lessons and the timeline are built for the next release. And the sector pack Next release.
Prices are list prices per workspace, as decided on 2026-10-12. They apply once modules can be added one by one, which comes with the next release; today the product is offered per programme, on quotation (see Pricing). A module that is not in the live product is not sold yet.
A rural electrification project connects its first villages
A fictional electrification project in Northland extends the grid to 12 villages. The financier asks each quarter how many households are connected.

Partly live Cost tables & Economic analysis
The cost table carries each line and substation by financing source, checked against the financing plan. Cost tables run today, and appraisal where its checking engine is installed. Economic and financial analysis is built for the next release.
-
Partly live Procurement & Contracts
The line construction lots are procurement plan lines, each with its method and estimate. Procurement plan lines and the contract screen run today. Bids, evaluation and award have no screen yet, and vendors, tenders and purchase orders are not in the live product yet.
-
Partly live Results & M&E
Access to electricity is reported against its target each quarter. Indicators and their reported values run today; a missing value shows as a dash. Targets are built for the next release.
| Lot | Method | Estimate |
|---|---|---|
| L1 Medium voltage line, north | Open tender | $2,140,000 |
| L2 Village networks | Open tender | $1,380,000 |
| L3 Meters | Request for quotations | $96,000 |
Fictional organisation, places and figures. Each step carries the label of the module it uses. A step labelled Next release, In development or Planned describes the design, not today's product; a step labelled Partly live uses only the part that runs today.
