For African Development Bank-financed projects

One record for the AfDB project unit: money, procurement and results

Project implementation units on African Development Bank loans and grants report on the special account, procurement and the results-based logical framework, often across several implementing agencies. projectsmanager.ai keeps these in one place and links every figure to the records it came from.

What reviewers typically look at

Where AfDB supervision tends to focus

The financing agreement, disbursement letter and project implementation manual set the rules for each operation. The points below are common, not universal; check your own documents.

Special account and disbursement

Projects often use a special account replenished on justification of expenditure, alongside direct payment and reimbursement. Supervision looks at the age of unjustified advances and the pace of disbursement.

Periodic financial and progress reports

Quarterly progress reports and interim financial reports, typically showing sources and uses of funds by component and category against the budget, and reconciling to the special account.

Procurement

Operations approved under the Bank Group's procurement policy follow its methods and procedures, against an agreed procurement plan. Some operations use national systems where the Bank has accepted them.

Results-based logical framework

Outcome and output indicators with baselines and targets feed the Bank's implementation progress and results reporting. Supervision missions ask for actual values and the evidence behind them.

How the product helps

Available today

Annual work plan and budget

Activities by component with budget, timing and the responsible agency, approved through a recorded workflow.

Advances

Advances to implementing agencies, their justification status and supporting documents, so outstanding balances are visible before replenishment.

Interim financial reports

Report lines built from recorded payments, each opening to its transactions. A cell with no data reads "not recorded", not zero.

Logframe indicators with evidence

Indicators with baselines, targets and actuals, each reported value linked to its source document.

Audit trail

A record of who created, changed and approved each item, which helps when external auditors test transactions.

Role-based access

Implementing agencies see only their own work. Financier staff can have read-only views if the unit chooses.

Cost tables and reports are partly available. AI assistants answer questions about your records with a citation, or decline.
